  • Weather warnings issued across the South East and South West with localised flooding possible in parts of Kent
  • Heavy showers will sweep across the UK overnight, with yet more rain dumped across the Midlands and the North

Britain will be lashed with a fortnight’s worth of rain tomorrow with a Bank Holiday washout firmly on the cards, but the rain doesn’t look likely to dampen spirits at Notting Hill carnival.

Hundreds of thousands of revellers took to the streets regardless of the impending downpour, which will see an inch of rain fall in some parts of the South East.

Weather warnings have been issued across London, the east, south east and south west of England as forecasters predicted raging thunderstorms.
