A fashion heavyweight! Chris Eubank sports a typically eccentric ensemble as he tucks pinstripe trousers into purple boots and carries a large clutch bag in London
He is known for his eccentric sartorial displays.
And former boxing champion Chris Eubank was true to form as he was pictured going for lunch with friends in London, sporting a typically eye-catching ensemble.
The 48-year-old showed off his bulging biceps in sleeveless black waistcoat style jacket which he wore over a white shirt and purple tie.
Tucking his pinstripe trousers into his eye-catching purple leather boots, the former middleweight boxer accessorised with black glasses and a Louis Vuitton clutch bag.
The boxer – who has been voted Britain’s Best Dressed Man twice in the past -certainly had a spring in his step as he strolled through London in his £500 Jeffery-West patent leather boots, before stopping to pose with some builders.
It was recently revealed that the Chris tied the knot with second wife Claire Geary eight months ago.
The former world super-middleweight champion revealed on The Claire Balding Show that he married Geary during an impromptu ceremony while they were on holiday in Las Vegas last October.
He is said to have explained: ‘I went downstairs pretending to be going to Starbucks. I actually found out we got could get a licence. So we literally had the honeymoon the first eight days.’
Eubank said he wanted to have the wedding before Claire returned to her home in Dubai, where she works as Manager of Corporate Communications, Marketing and Brand for Emirates Airline.
‘I thought we should do it in Vegas, I had been travelling back and forth to Dubai,’ he said. ‘I thought, well, it can be done here in Vegas.’
The Daily Mirror reported that Chris’ son, Chris Eubank Junior, 25, was his best man.
Claire, who was in the audience during taping of the show and has changed her name on Twitter to Claire Eubank, is believed to have added: ‘Life with Chris is inspiring, motivating, he keeps me in check. He wears the jodphurs. It is amazing.’
Eubank and his first wife Karron divorced in 2005, and the sportsman was declared bankrupt the same year.
Two of his sons, Christopher Jr and Sebastien, later went to live in Las Vegas with an acquaintance of Eubank’s.
He had met Irene Hutton by chance in a Paris hotel lounge in January 2006.
Within eight months Hutton, at Eubank’s request, adopted Chris, then 16, and Sebastien, then 14, and looked after them in the US as they pursued respective careers in boxing and American football.
Less than two years later, in July 2008, they returned to Brighton after Hutton went public with the secret arrangement, claiming she wanted ‘the world to know what he (Eubank) is like’.
She said Eubank visited his sons once in two years; Eubank and his former wife always maintained it was a sporting and lifestyle choice, not abandonment.
These days Claire and Chris co-manage Chris Jr’s career.
