Party Goers Commend Akwaaba UK For Exciting End Of Season Gigs
Accra is fast becoming a cosmopolitan city and for that matter, an interaction of diverse cultures at all times. The city is currently witnessing a vibrant night life amidst several activities which can be largely attributed to the increase in entertainment centers – casinos, pubs, clubs, bistros, movie theatres and others.
December is known to be a party time in Accra, however, December 2013 has been described by party-goers as the most memorable festive season with a lineup of several exciting events where guests were treated to quality entertainment.
For the city’s ravers and party heads as well as Ghanaians who returned from the diaspora for the Christmas celebrations, one name that will surely remain on their lips is the event powerhouse, Akwaaba UK.
As it had promised, Ghanaian International event company, Akwaaba UK, gave its patrons and other lovers of quality entertainment a lot to cheer about when they rolled out a list of exciting events to climax the Christmas and New Year festivities.
It all started on the 25th December with a jam packed Bella Roma for the Red Dress Party where organizers had to refuse over three hundred ravers entry as the venue lacked the space to host the sort of crowd that showed up.
A well-attended All Black (Welcome Party) followed on 26th December at Rhapsodies (Accra Mail) with MCs Miguel and Commotion plus a rotation of the finest DJs from London, USA and Ghana on hand to provide the much needed entertainment.
Akwaaba UK collaborated with Gh One Entertainment TV and Vodafone to host the official end-of-year party, GH Rocks, headlined by award winning and UK’s biggest disc jockey, Tim Westwood on 27th December at the Accra International Conference Centre. A combination of the finest Ghanaian and UK artistes including Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Mr. Silva and Gizmo got the crowed screaming all night.
At the All White Party on 28th December at Rhapsodies, Tim Westwood had a three hour set, dishing out back to back classics and accompanied by cheers from the crowd. This was followed by a rotation of UK’s DJ Sawa and DJ Fiifi.
The New Year, 2014, was celebrated with Akwaaba UK’s annual Party at the Beach which saw one of the biggest crowds at Bojo Beach in recent times. The thousands of patrons who thronged Bojo Beach were from diverse walks of life and couldn’t resist joining in the fun – swimming, dancing completion, fashion show, DJs on rotation and musical performances.
Event Manager of Akwaaba UK, Mr. Elliot Kessie, in a message thanked all the patrons at the various events as well as every individual and organizations that contributed to the success of all the events.
“It has been a great year and this wouldn’t have been possible without our patrons as well as our patrons and sponsors, including Star Beer, 4Syte TV, Gh One Entertainment TV, Bella Roma and Rhapsodies”.
