Quality Chemicals Nominated for 2013 Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur of the year award

ARV drug manufacturer quality chemicals Uganda limited has been nominated for the Ernst& Young World Entrepreneur of the Year award.

The awards will be held on June 2013 in Monte Carlo and quality Chemical Industries will represent the East Africa region

The World Entrepreneur of the Year Awards are described as an event that brings together and celebrates the creativity, vision and dedication of the World’s most deserving entrepreneurs. more than 5000 entrepreneurs have  taken part in this event.

Quality Chemicals is a state of the art pharmaceutical manufacturing facility that produces Antiretroviral medicines and Artemisinin based combination therapies to combat HIV/AIDS and Malaria

The company will be represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr Emmanuel Katongole who in 2011 emerged as one of the finalists for the Eastern Africa Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Award.

The World Entrepreneur of the Year award nomination is the latest in a string of awards that the company has achieved over the past few years with the most recent being the 2012 African Awards for Entrepreneurship where the company attained the award for Transformational business of the year. QCIL also won the African Business Leadership Award (ABLA) in 2012 and was a finalist at the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year award in 2011.
