Restaurant review: Mala

By  |

About 5 years ago, I was taken to restaurant Mala at St  Katherine’s Dock by Mr. Rajal, the architect who had refurbished it to its current beautiful décor. He claimed that it is the best Indian restaurant in London. On that particular occasion, I didn’t review their delicious dishes as I was new to Indian food. Recently, I decided to treat myself  to Mala restaurant again. I sat at a table facing the beautiful views of the docks. I must say I was very impressed by the charming and friendly service, and the food which was equally impressive.

I can honestly say it is the finest Indian food I have ever tasted andit was also a nice evening with the family!

I recommend:

Starters

King Prawn Butterfly

Deep fried Tiger King Prawns,

in a lightly spiced crispy batter.

Main Dish

Goan Fish Curry

Fillets of pomfret,

simmered in coconut

& coriander gravy,

with a hint of tamarind.
