Sarah Namulondo, ex-Monitor editor and media don, dies

Dr Sarah Namulondo Nantaba, a prominent media expert, is dead.

Dr Namulondo died at Mulago Referral Hospital on Sunday where she had been admitted for some days.

Her brother, Mr Abu Kawenja, announced her death on social media on Sunday, March 17.

Dr Namulondo worked at Monitor Publications Limited in various positions from 1997 to 2004. She was the Saturday Editor by the time she left Monitor as part of a team that started The Observer Newspaper.

Dr Sarah Namulondo had a PhD in Literature from the University of South Florida and was a lecturer at Makerere University. She was also the Associate Editor of The Observer Media at the time of her death.
