Simon Cowell’s £100million ITV deal
Simon Cowell signed a deal with ITV worth £100million to keep both The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent on our screens until 2013. The TV talent show mogul has agreed to return as a judge on both shows, ending speculation that he’ll ditch our X Factor to focus on the US version. Simon stands to earn £20million over the next three years once he signs his personal appearances deal.
Simon said, “I'm thrilled to conclude this deal with ITV to enable our relationship to continue to develop. I'm committed to making sure both shows get bigger and better every year." As well as screening The X Factor and BGT on ITV1, ITV2 will also have the rights to show the US X Factor.
