Still His Boy! Soulja Boy Defends Pal Justin Bieber Over Racism Claims
Soulja Boy has jumped to the defence of his close friend Justin Bieber, insisting that the young singer isn't racist in the aftermath of a video which was released of the Canadian repeatedly using the n-word.
Footage which was shot five years ago, shows Justin, 20, making a racial joke while repeating the offensive term used against black people, despite someone off camera appearing to warn him against saying the word.
However, hip-hop star Soulja Boy is reportedly sticking by his friend, telling TMZ that Justin shouldn't be reprimanded for something he said when he was 15 and insisting that he is not racist. According to the website, Soulja Boy says Justin is “still his boy.”
Soulja Boy isn't the only famous African-American to stick up for Justin as boxing champ Floyd Mayweather, who has been friends with the 'Confident' star for a couple of years, stating that everyone makes “mistakes.”
“Justin has been nothing but kind to me, my daughters and sons over the years. We all make mistakes when we are young, it’s part of growing up. I am proud of what he’s doing as a 20 year old musician and business man. #TMT www.TheMoneyTeam.com,” Floyd posted on Instagram.
