The First Family Of Hip-Hop: Beyonce & Jay Z’s Most Over The Top Indulgences (LIST)
Beyonce and Jay Z are definitely royalty in our eyes, especially after VH1 detailed their luxurious lives for an entire hour during their latest episode of The Fabulous Life.
We can say comfortably that there’s absolutely nothing these two don’t have. Crazy, right?
Between spending tens of millions of dollars on each other for birthdays and holidays, the insane amount of jewelry they rock, spoiling Blue Ivy, and keeping up with their own luxurious obsessions, the First Family of Hip-Hop is like none other in America… maybe even the world.
We know about the houses and the clothes, but it goes so far beyond that. Check out Bey and Hov’s most over the top indulgences below… They’ll probably surprise you.
Jay Z’s $250,000 solid gold necklace weighs in at 11 pounds and is one of the heaviest gold link chains on Earth, according to reports. As we can only imagine, it’s one of his prized possessions. But he has other pieces worth noting – a $2,100 strand of rosary beads and a gold Cartier panther ring worth an estimated $14,000.
Never mind Hov’s infatuation with a dope Rolex, the hip-hop mogul reportedly owns a Richard Mille Tourbillon that is worth half a milli – yes, $500,000 on his wrist alone.
But Hov’s jewelry is nothing compared to his wife’s.
Bey’s Wedding Ring
In 2008, Jay Z went from longtime boyfriend to husband when he put a ring on King Bey’s finger. But he didn’t gift the multimillionaire with just any ring – hers is a Lorraine Schwartz original, an 18-carat flawless diamond set in platinum and worth over $5 million.
The “XO” Video
Bey may have had a great time just hanging out and getting on rides for the day while shooting her “XO” video in Brooklyn, NY. But her neck was carrying about $2,000 in Jennifer Fisher jewelry… but that’s child’s play for Beyonce.
The emerald earrings Bey wore to President Obama’s Inauguration may have caught your eye, and if they didn’t they will now, as they were reportedly worth $1.8 million.
After her super sexy performance of “Drunk In Love” with Jay Z at the 2014 Grammy Awards, Bey changed clothes and added a few sparklers to her sheer floral gown.
Bey not only rocked 50-carat diamond earrings for the rest of her night, she wore 6 diamond rings and in total, had $10 million worth of Lorraine Schwartz jewels on her person. Damn, Bey.
The Mercedes Benz mini-van that Beyonce rides around in is anything but practical. In fact, it’s reportedly worth $1 million, is decked out in creme-colored Italian leather, and has a complete bathroom. But that’s not all – according to sources, it also has a $150,000 sound system.
The Mercedes McLaren SLR
Bey not only has her homely mini-van to take her where she needs to go. She also has a Mercedes McLaren SLR to feed her need for speed. It features a V8 engine that goes from 0 mph-62 mph in just 3.8 seconds! It costs nearly $500,000.
Jay Z’s Envied Car Collection
Bey’s hubby has her beat in the car department, however. Apparently, he has one of the most envied collections in the world and a few pieces include: a $107,000 silver Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet, a Ferrari F430 that costs upwards of $275,000, a Pagani Zonda F that is reportedly worth $2.5 million, and of course, his $2 million Bugatti.
Blue Ivy’s Wheels
Blue Ivy reportedly has a mini-Bugatti to match her hip-hop dad’s, as well as a mini-Ferrari.
Bey and Jay have many methods of transportation, one of the most luxurious is having Talon Air at their beck and call. Within an hour of their phone call, the company has no problem hooking the couple up with a $15,000,000 ($6,000 a ride) helicopter, and you can bet your bottom dollar it features endless amenities.
Never mind the cars and things she has now, from the moment Blue Ivy Carter was born, she was dead center in the lap of luxury – literally. The brand new executive birthing suite at Lenox Hill in NYC that Bey had Blue in costs up to $1,700 a night and while most dads sleep on a cot, Jay had his own bedroom.
Gifts & Birthdays
But again, that’s nothing for the Carters and their princess, Blue. Within just a couple days of being born, the 2-year-old had about $1.5 million in gifts, including a $15,000 Swarovski-studded high chair, a $50,000 diamond-encrusted Pram stroller, a solid gold rocking horse worth $600,000, and more.
And get this – thanks to auntie Kelly Rowland, Blue bathes in a $5,200 baby bathtub covered in 44,000 crystals that took 2 months to apply. Not to mention, Blue’s 1st birthday cost $200,000.
Drunk In Love
It’s no surprise that Bey and Hov like their alcohol. During Jay Z’s Watch The Throne listening party in Miami’s Club LIV, Hov was served a 15-liter $100,000 bottle of Ace of Spades champagne. According to sources, Jay’s bar tab that night was a quarter million dollars – yup, $250,000 on the drinks ALONE.
The Best Gifts Ever
Being as wealthy as Bey and Jay are definitely means they buy one another some extravagant gifts. When Bey turned 25, her hubby bought her a 1959 Rolls Royce that cost a million dollars.
Bey returned the love by buying Jay a Bugatti worth $2 million on his 44th birthday. One of the most expensive cars in the world, it can travel a half mile in just 10 seconds.
But the madness doesn’t stop there…
Private Jet Life
Bey gifted Hov with a $40 million private jet, complete with a living room, kitchen, and two bathrooms. Now that’s what we call an over the top indulgence!
We’re not totally surprised, but damn. Jay has a pair of $2,500 Brooklyn Zoo’s that feature 9 different animal skins.
Home Is Where The Heart Is
According to rumors, Jay Z recently bought a $4 million island in the Bahamas so he can vacation in peace.
Empire State Of Mind & More
The Carters also own a $6.85 million penthouse on Hudson Street in Tribeca, NYC and used to escape to a getaway house in Indian Creek, Florida, an exclusive community with its own police department and 24/7 armed patrol boat.
The house had 7 bedrooms, 8 baths, a pool, and its cost is estimated at $9.3 million.
