About the event

The Uganda Investment Forum 2014 (UK Convention) is now the largest Ugandan forum in Europe designed to promote Uganda as a favoured investment destination in East Africa. The Expo offers participants – private individuals and companies large and small – the opportunity to access business and investment opportunities presented on the day by experts from Uganda and abroad.

What we are looking for?

The Ugandan Trade and Investment Conference – UK is urgently seeking UK volunteers who have a keen interest in development in Africa. We need enthusiastic, passionate and innovative people to join our team to help mobilise UK businesses, companies, organisations and entrepreneurs who have a strong interest with doing business with Africa. We are keen to open new avenues of investments and entrepreneurship between the UK and Uganda, and you, as a volunteer with a bright vision for Africa, would be key in creating these contacts.

This role would suit either someone who has an interest in Africa development and is keen to gain some experience on the PR side, or someone with previous PR experience looking to get involved in the Africa development sector.

Duties will include:

  • PR
  • Interest UK companies to exhibit their products and services at the event
  • Reach out to local business organisations and forums for networking.
  • Distributing our leaflets at various events with synergy with our conference
  • Providing information about the organisation and how people can get involved.
  • Co-ordination of other volunteers at events.

Needed between now and 13th Sept 2014.

Conference: DATE: Saturday, 13 September 2014 | TIME: 09.00 – 18.30
